And that’s another thing that fascinates me about photography and that is that no picture is the same when it’s put together with another one. As soon as you put two together you tell one thing. If you put another one with it, it’s a completely different thing.

I think the great thing about the Farm Security photographs, regardless of the artistic merit of any individual photograph, is that they were all being done in a search for the heart of the American people.
