God, the Devil, Cuba's Fidel Castro, Cesar Chavez president of Venezuela, the governor of Puerto Rico, and a representative of PRT (Puerto Rico's Telephone Company) are in a meeting.
God says, "Let me get this straight. I'm visiting each of thesepolitical leaders and I need to call Satan - what's that going to cost me?" "Well sir," says the PRT rep, "say you visit Mr. Chavez. Calling the Devil at his home costs you $1.85 per minute, plus $0.22 tax and surcharges." "Uh huh," says God. "However, in Cuba, the cost would be $1.05 per minute and no
tax or surcharges," explains the rep. "Some of the costs are
government supported." Castro smiles. "On the other hand, when you're in Puerto Rico with the governor
here," continues the rep, "your cost is covered by your regular
monthly bill for services." "Why is that? Government support?" asks God. "It's a local call," says the governor. Satan smiles. J.Galligan
